My Board: the practice on one screen

Read the whole practice on one screen: revenue, projects on time, cash flow, deliverables, alerts, workload, the projects table and today.

My Board: the practice on one screen

My Board is the practice read on one dark screen, in tiles of mixed sizes that fill the page and never scroll. The Desk is where you decide things; My Board is where you read how the practice stands. Open it in the morning, before a partners' meeting, or whenever someone asks "how are we doing?". The principal sees the whole practice here.

  1. Press "My Board" on the Quick access bar — The tiles fill the page. A tile that is still loading says "Reading …"; one whose records could not be read says "Could not read …" instead of showing a zero.
  2. Read the top row — "Revenue · <this month>" in PKR, "Projects on time" as a gauge, and "Sites & clients" on a dotted map.
  3. Read the middle row — "Cash flow · 12 weeks" (in against out), "Deliverables" as a ring, "Alerts" for what is wrong now, and "Workload" for who carries the open tasks.
  4. Read the "Projects" table — Each running project with its Stage, Progress, Fees, Owed, the Next dated task and its State: "late", "on time" or "not dated".
  5. Click a project row to open it — The row's title reads "Open <project>". It opens the project.
  6. Press "open the calendar ›" in the Today tile — Today lists the meetings, the work due and the payments due today; the link opens OfiCalendar.
TileWhat it countsWhere the number comes from
Revenue · <month>Money received this month, the change on last month, payments received; a line over six monthsIncome booked in Finance
Projects on timeRunning projects with promised work and nothing late; how many are late, and how many have nothing dated yetThe projects' deliverables and dates
Sites & clientsProjects whose site has a pin on the map, and how many clientsEach project's site address and pin
Cash flow · 12 weeksMoney in against money out, week by weekFinance; transfers between your own accounts are left out
DeliverablesAccepted, with the client, promisedEvery project's deliverables
AlertsBlocked work, overdue work and late payments; a line of what fell due and is still open, last 8 daysTasks and the payment schedule
WorkloadOpen tasks per person, the busiest first; who has late work; how many on the teamTasks
ProjectsRunning projects: stage, progress, fees, owed, next, stateProjects, payment schedule and tasks
TodayMeetings, work due and payments due todayMeetings, tasks and the payment schedule

Every number on My Board is read from a record somewhere else in Ofivio. When a figure looks wrong, fix the record, not the board. A project shows "not dated" until its deliverables have dates. A site stays off the map until the project carries a pin for its address. Owed is filled from the project's payment schedule: a payment past its date and not yet claimed by the client counts here. Workload counts open tasks, not hours, because Ofivio does not record planned hours.
