Ofivio — from onboarding to final delivery · Part 12 · Running the practice · Chapter 56 of 56
Ofivio on your phone
How to get the Android app, attach it to your account, find your way around (Welcome, the Stream, the Dial, the rooms, Me) and work from site.
Ofivio on your phone
The Ofivio app puts the practice in your pocket: the day's work, approvals, the departments, and the things you do on site, such as daily reports, snags, photos and clocking in. It is the same account as the web, with the same records and the same roles. Everyone on the team can use it, from the principal to the site engineer. The app is for Android; on an iPhone, open ofivio.app in the browser.
Get it and sign in
- Press "Get the app" — "Ofivio on your phone" opens. Under "1 · Get the app", point your phone's camera at the code, or press "Get it on Google Play", or "Copy the link" and send it to yourself.
- Install and open it — The app greets you with "Run your business from your pocket". Tap "I already have an account".
- Sign in without typing a password — In the app tap "Sign in with a code from my computer". On the computer, under "2 · Attach your phone", press "Link a phone"; a code appears. In the app tap "Scan the code" and point the phone at it.
- Approve it on the computer — "A phone wants to sign in" shows a number. Press "Approve" only if it matches the phone, otherwise "Not me". The phone is now listed under "Signed in on".
You can also sign in on the phone with your username and password, or "Continue with Google". Every sign-in then asks for a one-time code ("One more step").
Finding your way
| On the phone | What it is |
|---|---|
| Welcome | Your greeting, the date and time, how many approvals wait for you, and the day's counts: open, late, meetings today. |
| The Stream | Lines rolling up the left: the live feed, notices, tasks, events, approvals, milestones. Red is due within 15 minutes, green later today, blue tomorrow, grey done. Hold it to choose what it carries. |
| Bottom bar | "Desk", "Arka" (or "VO"), the Dial in the centre, "OfiRoom" and "Me". |
| The Dial | Tap it for your departments. Push it upward for "All pages" and "Find a page…". Double-tap it to return to Welcome. |
| Rooms | Each department opens as a room with the same tabs as the web: Studio, Build & Site, Planning & QS, HR, Finance, the Manager Hub, Oficiate. |
| Me › YOU | "Dial & Wheel", "My Account", "Themes & Appearance", "Notifications", "Privacy Settings", "Sidebars & Layout" and "SIGN OUT". |
On site
- Clock in — "CLOCK IN" when you arrive and "CLOCK OUT" when you leave. It records the time only, not where you are.
- File the daily report — Open the project › "Site Reports" › "FILE A REPORT", or Build & Site › "Daily report" › "File a report". Enter the activity, date, per cent complete, hours worked, crew on site and any issues or blockers. Add pictures with "Take a photo" or "From the phone", then "Submit".
- Raise a snag — "RAISE SNAG" with photos. It moves through "START" and "CLOSE", with "Evidence of the fix" photos, or "NOT A DEFECT". Only the principal, a manager or the design team can close one.
- Save a drawing or a document — In the project's files, "Photograph a document" or "Upload from this phone".
- Decide on the move — Task reviews offer "Approve & mark done" or "Request changes".
- Ask VO — Tap "VO" or the Dial's "Arka": "Tap the bars to speak, or type the task".
Your own HR is in the app too: "Time off" › "REQUEST LEAVE", and "My pay" › "REQUEST AN ADVANCE". A few things stay on the computer and are tagged "ON THE DESK" in the app, such as downloading a payslip, editing a full staff record and generating a report.
